?? NICETOWN Taupe Velvet Blackout Curtains:Good ??? The velvet texture is lush instantly gives the room that luxe, hotel vibe.? Blocks nearly 100% of light, perfect for sleeping in.? Drapes beautifully with weighty folds and no wrinkles after hanging.? Quality stitching and thick fabric that feels built to last.OK ??? Color leans slightly warmer in person than the listing photos.? Rod pocket style is simple but not ideal if you open/close daily.? Collects dust easier due to the velvet nap, so occasional shake-outs help.Could Be an Issue ??? Heavy; use a strong rod or brackets.? Attracts pet hair like a magnet. *hated to add this, but Ive got to be honest*? Needs low-heat ironing or steaming out of the box.Personal Note ??These changed the whole mood of the room cozy, quiet, and classy. The kind that makes you want to stay in bed all morning ?? These are beautiful!
The curtains were true to size, made from a polyester velvet fabric. The seams are finished ok, the curtains drape nicely and the color is true to the listing. The curtains however, are not lined, so when they flip and reveal the reverse, all the seams and backing are visible, making them look cheap. They block the light pretty well, about 40-50%, but not as much as they would if lined. They are within the price range of comparable curtains, yet we would recommend to spend a little extra for lined curtains, which would block the light better and present more elegant overall. We are using them as accents on the sides of other curtains and for this purpose they met our expectations.I received this product for free as part of the Amazon Vine program. I was not compensated for this review, and my opinions are based solely on my experience with the product.
These NICETOWN Velvet Stone Blue Blackout Curtains add a touch of elegance to my living room with their soft velvet texture and clean drape. The rod pocket and back tab design make them versatile and easy to hang, and they do an excellent job blocking out light and helping regulate room temperature. The stitching and overall finish feel well-made, giving them a polished, high-end look. That said, the fabric wasnt quite as thick as I expected for velvet, and the color runs noticeably darker than the photos online, leaning more toward a deep navy than a lighter stone blue. Neither issue is a dealbreaker, but worth noting if youre aiming for a very specific shade or a heavier-weight curtain.Overall, these panels deliver on style and functionality, with just a couple of minor drawbacks that keep them from being perfect. Theyre still a solid choice if you want a luxurious blackout option at a reasonable price.
Over the last two years I have purchased 12 pairs of these curtains and I would say at least 6 pair have had to be exchanged because they are not measured and cut evenly. Definitely an issue for me. The fabric is nice and they look high end as long as you have something in front of the bottom.
The curtains are quite plush. (They really do feel velvet-y, not some cheap knock-off.) The blackout feature is legit. My apartment (even on the 20th floor) gets blasted with light, and these dim it down nicely. Almost too good sometimes... (Who needs an alarm clock when you have sunshine, right? ??) The stitching looks clean, and the length is spot-on for tall windows. Just wish there was a tad more heft to 'em for that 'sound reducing' claim. Its good, just not perfect. One Thumb Up! ??
I ordered these in the Sage Green as I was looking for new bedroom drapes that would closely match the color of my walls, and this is almost an exact match. They are nice and soft to the touch and easily steam out to eliminate the fresh out of package wrinkles. One pair of windows also faces east so the room darkening lining was necessary for restful sleep past sunrise, and these are a nice option. Happy purchase!
Love these. They are total blackout. Love the feel of fabric and looks great hanging
