What is the difference between light-control curtains?
  • 100% Blackout: Designed to block outside light for maximum darkness and privacy.
  • Blackout: Blocks most sunlight, depending on the fabric, color, and installation.
  • Room Darkening: Reduces sunlight and glare while leaving the room softly lit.
  • Light Filtering: Softens natural light while providing moderate daytime privacy.
  • Sheer: Allows the most natural light and provides limited privacy.

Darker fabrics generally provide stronger light control than lighter fabrics.

Will the curtain color look exactly like it does online?

NICETOWN aims to display colors accurately, but slight differences may occur because of monitor settings, photography, room lighting, and fabric dye lots.

100% Blackout

Love! Bought these blackout curtains for my giant RV window. Living room was getting too warm for me and the husband’s liking. Best purchase yet. It completely darkens the whole room. They are thick and are a good quality material. Best bang for your buck if you’re looking for blackout curtains.

Not correct measurement

It is perfect for what I need but measurement is incorrect, it is 35 inches each panel not 37!!! It is fitting in my window but if your window is over 70 inches wide, it will be shot

Thick and smooth

Thick, smooth, and they hang really well. I wasn’t expecting them to feel this high quality, but they give my space a cozy, almost hotel-like vibe. Super easy to put up too. I just used my regular curtain rod, slid them on, and done. One thing I love is how clean and simple they look. The pure white brightens up the room without letting in the sun when I don’t want it. They go perfectly with my style, but honestly, they’d work with pretty much any decor. If you’re thinking about getting blackout curtains, I can’t recommend these enough. They’ve seriously upgraded my space.

Dirty curtains but great quality

The white panels have black marks. They looked used . Great quality. Easy to hang. Thick fabric. I love this company. I buy all my curtains from them . I’m just really sad that they have stains.Update the other two sets arrived and they were all stained as well with black marks. This is so disappointingContacted Nicetown and they agreed to investigate but after almost 3 weeks , I contacted them again and they said they could give me a 10% discount on me buying something else but I spend over $100 on the curtains I bought and now I can’t return them to Amazon and they aren’t fixing g the problem.Updated: They sent me three new sets without asking me to pay anything, send the old ones back or pay for shipping that is above and beyond . Thank y’all so much!

Work well and look nice!

I like the color for my room and they block the morning light well enough that I don’t wake up at the crack of dawn after getting home from work after midnight. Which is why I needed blackout curtains. I read some reviews that said you can’t get the wrinkles out but I had no problem with that. I put them in the dryer with dryer balls for about 10-15 min and wala, they came out smooth. They feel and look like quality curtains to me and would recommend them.

Thick blackout curtains

I am quite pleased with these curtains. They are very thick and block the light out super well. I bought these for my nursery. We have a street light right outside our house so these have been amazing. These have made a huge difference in the afternoon temperature of the room. The only downside is that the thickness doesn’t allow them to drape the best, but I think if you had a longer set (I got 45”) it wouldn’t be an issue.

Plain white and 100% blackout

This was the third set of curtains I ordered. I was hopeful they would be pure white and fully blackout. I would say they are. The backs are lined in black. The very top portion where you hang the curtain isn’t lined so it is a bit lighter in shade if the curtains are closed during the day. These curtains are a heavy smooth material. I just need to get the wrinkles out and they will be done.

Perfect sun-blocking curtains!

I love these curtains! They are true white in color and block so much sunlight. These photos are taken during the middle of the day (the camera is showing more light than in person). They are very nice quality and perfect length. I put them in the dryer for about 15 minutes and all the creases from packaging fell out.

Heavy duty full blackout

Heavy, full black out curtains, great for drafts. A true stark white. Material is smooth- kind of like outdoor curtains which did not work for our primary bedroom. Bonus- Pet hair doesn’t stick. 2 panels shown , very full. Will need to be steamed to look better.

Overall, A Great Choice For 100% Blackout

I needed some 100% blackout curtains and these don’t disappoint. I’ve purchased other colors in the past, but I needed some for the front room that faces the street. Due to HOA rules, those curtains must be white. Unfortunately, the white “blackout” curtains have a black layer of fabric on the back-side. But after trying other options, I have decided to use these, but put them up backwards. I have a more decorative pair of curtains that face the room on a traditional curtain rod above the window; but they aren’t blackout. So I use these curtains on a spring locking tension bar inside the window frame. The room is now completely pitch black! These are FABRIC curtains that are thick, soft to the touch, and have a heavy hang. And again, the 100% blackout is one of the best.I did have to return a pair due to a stain on one of them. But I will be replacing them with the same product.

True, spectacular blackout!

I got these with the primary aim of cutting down on the draft from the sliding door in a bedroom. I haven't had a chance to test that just yet, but I have high hopes! These are so thick--two solid layers--and closing them genuinely makes the room look like midnight in the middle of the afternoon. All three pictures were taken seconds apart in indirect sunlight in mid afternoon. I'm afraid if I fell asleep in here I might be out for a week! So far very much delivering on my expectations, and I'll update my review on the insulating qualities once the temperature drops again!

Thick, soft, actual blackout

White blackout curtains are the hardest to find. In our other bedrooms I went with gray since the darker the color, the more light is muted. With the black lining on these curtains, it allows the daylight to only come through the top and sides (our curtain rod is about 6 inches from the wall since we have privacy lace curtains up too). You cannot see the black fabric through the white at all - unless you look very closely at the top seam where it’s hung on the rod. Highly recommend. They are wrinkled from shipping but overtime I’m sure they will go away. I’m not worried about the wrinkles as it’s more important for the blackout piece. We also did not notice any chemical smell - they seemed fine to me.

Perfect blackout

The double layer is the trick. I've bought this curtain brand before and was amazed at what I bought. Fast forward 6 months and have to buy another set of curtains and I thought I'd save 10 dollars... Mistake. The other version was single layer and let the light right on through in a dazzling starfield effect. The third pic is the competition. 99 percent blackout.I combined a track system, valance (via an Eclipse brand), magnets (don't get them. Complete trash and WEAK.), and the double layer curtains to make a perfectly black window.Funny side note. The very slight amount of light seen in the first pic is actually a reflection off of the curtain from the cell phone screen light in an otherwise black room at 2 in the afternoon. Gotta love it!

100% blackout as advertised

The NICETOWN 100% Blackout with black lining "for nursery" is the best I've tried so far for my purposes. I wanted to insulate the room against outdoor temperatures and noises and also be able to use the curtains as a movie screen for my projector. The fabric is very soft, and the curtains are overall pretty thick. I have not washed or ironed them so cannot comment on durability, washability, or wrinkles. The NICETOWN 100% Blackout curtain is the panel on the right in my photo, and as you can see, the black lining shows through. If you need pure white curtains, this might not be for you, although the show-through is more apparent next to the other two white curtains in the photo, both of which don't have black lining. Also pictured: Eclipse Blackout Braxton Thermaback (left) and NICETOWN White for Bedroom (center).

LOVE the Teal Blue

These are THE blackout curtains to get!!! I couldn't find any other seller that sold SETS at this price point with such good reviews.Every other seller sold them as single panels for more than half the price of this set and even then the reviews were mixed about the curtains blackout ability.I was a little nervous about my purchase of these in Teal Blue because no other reviewer had provided pictures with their review for Teal Blue. Teal is a difficult color to shop for online because so many have different opinions of what is teal, teal green & turquoise. Usually unless you see it in person it's hard to match it with the teal you need for your decor. This teal blue however is exactly as shown in the product picture. Most product pictures give warning of allowing the color to be off so many shades in either degree but this product picture is spot on.I bought these to hang from the back tabs because I just personally prefer the way curtains hang from them better than the look you get hanging from the rod sleeve. As you can see in the picture I am still in the process of hanging these and decided to pair with sheer window scarves to soften them up a bit. But I did purchase a blackout curtain rod to hang these on. It allows the curtain to hang flush with the wall and stops any light from escaping on the sides like it would on curtains rods that have the fancy balls or finials on the end.If you are purchasing these for heating/cooling cost or sleeping in complete darkness I would suggest getting a blackout curtain rod to hang these on. But if you don't mind the light and heat leaking out along the sides then buy whatever curtain rod you prefer that matches your decor.Because I was using the back tabs to hang these and since the product measurements are given as a flat panel I bought 2 pair for my window to make up for the width lost that occurs when you use back tabs and gives you that pleated look. But I believe I will be removing one panel and putting it on another window in the end because 4 is just too much for my size window and I really want those pleats to have room to form and go from top to bottom. It's too crowded in pictures I provided and the pleats get lost.Pictures were taken at 2 in the afternoon on a full sunny day with no cloud coverage. Blinds are completely open and as you can see there are no light leakage spots through the curtains, along the side, top or bottom except where I have opened one panel to show you these curtains blackout ability.I plan on buying more for other rooms now that I know firsthand that these are as good as they are advertised and they are such a value for the money compared to other sellers.

Great blackout curtain for the price

As someone who has purchased too many curtains, I have to say that I am very impressed with these. I ordered the cappuccino color.Pros:- Each order comes with 2 panels. This is very rare, so I assumed it only came with 1 so I ended up purchasing 8 panels. I ended up using all 8 to make them look fuller.-the fabric is surprisingly soft and heavy so they hang nicely. Easy to open and close.- they are blackout. I do have a roller shade behind them that I did NOT put down in the picture. When just using the shade I do get some light at the top, but it really depends on your windows, rod, etc. Ps. I have a very bright house.- easy to get wrinkles out on a steam cycle. I put them in the dryer, but I feel like they would iron or hand steam very easily.Cons:- the panels were different lengths. The differences are subtle enough that I can live with it, especially for the price.- panels can be very staticky. I must have had some loose hair on my sweater when putting them up and noticed my hair immediately clung to them. They seem to be better after putting them in the dryer with a dryer sheet.- lack of colors. I wish they had more to choose from. I ordered cappuccino (shown in pictures) and biscotti beige for another room. The cappuccino color looks similar to color on site. Biscotti beige is more camel in color to me.
